50th Anniversary Cake

This cake was for my maternal grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary. I tried to make it a little extra special, even though my mom just wanted a simple sheet cake. Half white cake, half chocolate cake, homemade buttercream icing, all decorations in buttercream. I let the roses dry completely (on the cake) and then dusted on edible gold pearl dust on each petal to make them gold. About 2 hours decoration work.
