Custom 2-tier wedding cake. Flirtation design (c) Bakery Crafts.

The original design is in a peach color; all the peach has been substituted with red (the bride was using a patriotic theme but didn't want to go overboard).

White cake, buttercream icing, plastic columns. 1 hour.

I really like this one ^^
I have no baking skills but I have good eating skills :D

I'm impressed you can do stuff like this in an hour. I cannot even draw something completely in that time O.o

Well, it *is* my job, after all... and with walmart, you really hate to waste half your day on one thing when you have 20 to finish... you know how it is.

Thank you for the compliment, though! :D

I hope to have a wedding cake this beautiful someday...
How do you get the coloumns to not sink into the cake?

They're what's called push-in pillars... the bottom of the columns actually extend through the cake to the board. Then you put the "bottom" (just a ring) over the inserted column to make it look like it's sitting on the cake. :D
Here's an example of a similar construction:

Thanks! :D I had 3 wedding cakes that day... and well... when just one takes an hour or so to decorate, plus 15-30 min to package it, then an hour for prep and and hour for cleanup for your shift... yeah, I barely got them finished in my 8-hour day! The longest part of this cake was of course the roses, but I'm a pro at that now. ;) I made one of my coworkers take all the calls and orders while I worked on it, so that helped.

Thanks for watching!
