Original Linked Hearts Cake

Custom wedding cake made to the customer's specifications. 3-tiered cake, with alternating vanilla/chocolate layers, two heart-shaped satellite cakes, white vanilla buttercream icing. Heart cakes approx. 8" at widest point, 4.5" tall. Tiered cake 16", 14", and 10" x 4.5" rounds. Cardboard separation plates and wooden dowels for support. About 3 hours' construction and decoration, unknown time baking. Serves about 200.

This thing was MASSIVE. The bottom layer, by itself, without icing, weighed 18 pounds!!! I estimate the whole thing weighed close to 50 pounds. It didn't help that the cake mix has pudding in it, but I didn't have much of a choice unless I wanted to make the cake from scratch... which would be more expensive.

Not my most decorative or creative cake, but definitely the BIGGEST!
